Iran_Nuclear program is peaceful

The UN Security Council is crafting a fourth round of sanctions on Iran to curb its nuclear program. But Iran's President, Mahmoud Ahmadenijad, said internal politics both within Iran and the US, are making it more difficult to reach a deal on the issue. Western powers suspect that Iran's nuclear program is aimed at building weapons, while Iran maintains it is for peaceful uses to generate power. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran's President, said, "When we say we do not want the bomb we mean it. If we want the bomb, we will tell everybody that we want it because we are not afraid. So as a result, our policy is transparent on this matter. We always say that we believe that US policy in the Middle East is something we are opposed to and that we will resist. We are not afraid of saying our position."
