Missing Family Cat Found in Car Engine During Traffic Stop

A routine traffic stop took a weird turn when a Utah deputy heard a cat noise coming from the driver's car engine. The driver’s cat was missing for two days. Deputy Allen notified police headquarters he would be assisting the driver with getting a cat out of their engine. It took them four minutes to free Gus. "It's a miracle he was not hurt, thinking of where he was," says Jennifer Hayes, the cat’s owner. "From the time he was missing, I think it was about 240 miles."
