First Covid XBB.1.16 infection in Ecuador

The Ministry of Health informed that the woman who is a carrier of Covid variant XBB.1.16 has no symptoms and is being monitored. Although this is the only case in the country, some citizens have returned to wearing masks for fear of contracting the virus.
