Syncytial bronchiolitis, the epidemic that viciously attacks infants every year

Every year, between the months of October and March in the temperate countries of the northern hemisphere, the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), the cause of bronchiolitis, visits us, eager to see us again; a highly contagious microorganism through the respiratory tract that spreads by direct contact or by the droplets that we release when talking, sneezing or coughing, as the SARS-CoV-2 bug also likes to do. Its entry point is the nasal and oral mucosa as well as the ocular conjunctiva, but the effects of both viruses are not the same in infants and young children, especially in those at risk: those born prematurely and those with congenital diseases, such as heart disease, pneumopathies and immunopathies.
