Alleged assailant of Asian woman in New York faces hate crime charges

The suspect in the brutal attack is named Brandon Elliot, is 38 years old and was arrested Wednesday in New York. Elliot had been on parole since 2019 after being convicted in 2002 of murdering his mother.
