#VIRAL: Hundreds of Bats Perish During Texas Cold Snap

Hundreds of bats froze to death during the cold snap that ravaged Texas this past week. Houston is home to a permanent colony of several thousand Mexican free-tailed bats that live under a bridge. This species of bat is not used to the freezing temperatures the state has seen. The recent winter storm left millions of Texans without power or drinking water.
