"Race against time" to apply for citizenship before USCIS fee hike

As of October 2, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will charge $1,170 for the naturalization process, to which must be added the payment for the biometric data. The American Immigration Lawyers Association sued the Trump government to prevent this measure from taking effect.
