Unprecedented bail imposed on Light of the World Church leader accused of sexual abuse
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge George Lomeli imposed $90 million bail on Naason Joaquin Garcia for allegedly being responsible for 36 counts of sexual abuse, lewd acts against a minor and extortion. According to lawyers, the magistrate set that figure to prevent the suspect from escaping to another country to avoid a possible conviction.
