U.S. prosecutors charge Shahzad with act of terrorism
U.S. prosecutors are charging the man accused of trying to set off a car bomb in New York's Times Square with five counts, including trying to explode a weapon of mass destruction. They say the terror suspect has also admitted to receiving bomb-making training in Pakistan. Charges against Faisal Shahzad, a naturalized US citizen from Pakistan, were contained in a criminal complaint filed Tuesday by a federal court in Manhattan. Speaking hours after the terror suspect was pulled off a plane about to depart for the Middle East, US President Barack Obama said "justice will be done".
