Brasilia, Modernism and Utopia

The modernist urban and architectural design of Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, is due to President Juscelino Kubitschek's dream, calling this the Pilot Plan. A design based on the shape of an airplane that contemplated a utopian city in which the social classes were eliminated and that meant the transformation of the public space by virtue of movement and uniformity.
