Goonies Home Closed to Public

Goonies may never say die, but the owner of the home featured in the movie is pulling the plug! Sandi Preston has let people visit her private residence for fourteen years, but with the 30th anniversary of the 1985 cult classic, the traffic has just become too much. The famous Astoria house has pulled in a steady stream of tourists, sometimes even 15,000 visitors a day. The increase in fans have wreaked havoc on the neighborhood creating traffic, gridlock, vandalism and litter which has caused the owner to close the Goonies home off to the public.
