Folk Legend Ronnie Gilbert Dies

We’re sad to deliver the news that folk singer Ronnie Gilbert has passed away at the age of 88. Gilbert, who released hit recordings including Goodnight Irene and Kisses Sweater Than Wine with 1950’s folk quartet The Weavers, died of natural causes over the weekend. After performing with the weavers, Ronnie went on to pursue a solo career as a singer, stage actor and psychologist. We would like to send our condolences to the Gilbert family during this time. Rest in peace.
