NEW YORK Miguel Dec 3, 2011. Miguel Cotto (37-2, 30 KO) successfully defended his WBA super welterweight title Saturday night, scoring a TKO win over challenger Antonio Margarito (38-8, 27 KO) before 21,239 mostly pro-Cotto fans at Madison Square Garden.

After nine rounds, Antonio Margarito's surgically-repaired right eye had swelled to a point where ringside doctors determined he couldn't continue.
