Video, inquest prove man killed by police officer at 2009 G20 protests

A British inquest jury has ruled that a 47-year-old man who died of internal bleeding on the fringes of violent protests against the 2009 G20 summit in London was illegally killed by a police officer. Ian Tomlinson, a homeless newspaper salesman, collapsed and died on the edges of the demonstrations against the G-20 meeting. A pathologist initially ruled that the death was consistent with natural causes, but video showed Tomlinson being shoved to the ground by a riot gear-clad officer. Other pathologists ruled that his death could have been the result of his confrontation with police.
