Iowa Police Press conference on high school shooting

A mass shooting unfolded at a small-town Iowa high school early Thursday, resulting in “multiple gunshot victims,” police said, including the school’s principal, according to a published report. The shooter was dead, law enforcement officials told CNN. Heavily armed law enforcement swarmed Perry High School, about 40 miles from Des Moines, following reports of an active shooting situation at 7:47 a.m., Dallas County Sheriff Adam Infante said at a press conference later in the morning.
