All of Shanghai's 26 million residents remain under lockdown, following a fresh surge in COVID-19 cases. Authorities have extended restrictions in the financial hub, shutting it down indefinitely. A mass testing blitz has uncovered over 13,000 asymptomatic infections. As the city-wide lockdown enters its second week, public anger is growing over the draconian measures. At least 38,000 military and healthcare workers have been deployed to Shanghai. It's China's biggest public health response since the outbreak in Wuhan.
