Comedian Michaela Watkins Reflects on Joan Rivers, Calls Her “Spirit Animal”

Michaela Watkins is not only an actress in movies like The Back-up Plan, Enough Said, and Wanderlust, but she’s also a comedian! Along with Veep and New Girl, the 43-year-old funny woman is one of the stars in Hulu’s new original comedy series Casual, where she plays a newly divorced sister living with her brother in his bachelor pad as they raise her teenage daughter. We caught up with Michaela at the Austin Film Festival where she opens up about how comedian Joan Rivers has inspired her career.
