The Deadliest Catch’s Captain Tony Lara passed away in his sleep at his home in Sturgis, South Dakota. The crabbing catcher, who appeared on the hit show, died at the age of 50. According to TMZ, authorities have no cause of death pending autopsy results. In the wake of his passing, the show, which airs on Discovery Channel, tweeted a message remembering their Captain. “Yesterday we lost a member of the Catch Family,” the tweet said. “May you RIP Captain Tony Lara.”
