2 People Shooting near Yankee Stadium on 161st Street in the Bronx

Two people were shot just blocks from Yankee Stadium on East 161 Street. The victims were shot at East 161st Street and Gerard Avenue just after 1:20 p.m. Police say the suspect opened fire into a crowd on a Bronx sidwalk, striking two. A 60-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and is in stable condition. A man in his 40's was shot several times in his abdomen. He is in critical condition. Both men are at Lincoln Hospital. The suspected gunman was taken into custody at the scene, possibly by officers from the nearby courthouse. Witnesses described him as a man in his 50's wearing a dark grey suit.
