Paige Wheeler has been driving dragsters for just a year but beat rivals as old as 18 in front of 40,000 fans at the Santa Pod track in Northamptonshire. Her father Andy said: %u2018I still can%u2019t believe she has won it. %u2018It was only a year ago that she was asking to take part in the junior drag races and now she has won the European championships. %u2018No one else in the family races any-thing %u2013 I don%u2019t know where she gets it from.%u2019 He said he had been reluctant at first to let his daughter drive the cars, which are faster than Ferraris.
