The reason for the termination of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver's marriage has been revealed — he fathered an illegitimate child. The LA Times says the mother was a long-time member of his domestic staff. Maria thought the maid's husband was the father.

There is speculation about a second love child. The Daily Mail reported in 2003 on an alleged affair with his former personal flight attendant.

A contrite Arnold has reportedly been trying to get Maria back. But she's furious about getting such a raw deal.

The scandal is unlikely to affect the former governor's political ambitions, but it could definitely help reignite his movie career.
