The former president of Israel, Moshe Katsav, has been convicted of rape and could go to jail. A three judge panel labeled his defense as "riddled with lies" in it's ruling, but has not yet sentenced him. Women's right's groups, who have long complained that Israeli authorities shrug off sexual harassement at workplaces, welcomed the verdict. We was found guilty of raping an employee as tourism minister in the 1990s, and other sexual offences when head of state between 2000 and 2007.
