Finding Bliss

Finding Bliss is the new film from writer/director Julie Davis (Amy's Orgasm, All Over the Guy). Based on Davis' real-life experiences as a struggling filmmaker in Hollywood, Finding Bliss explores the adult film industry through the eyes of idealistic film school grad, Jody Balaban (Emmy-nominee Leelee Sobieski), who moves to Hollywood with big dreams only to end up editing porn. Jody takes a job at porn company Grind Productions, where the shrewd CEO Irene Fox (Emmy-nominee Kristen Johnston), challenges her to bring a romantic female point of view to the hard-core material and help bring erotica into the mainstream. When Jody is paired with rakish porn director Jeff Drake (Matt Davis, Legally Blonde and Blue Crush), the sparks fly. Jeff is a film grad himself who once had dreams of making 'real' films, but has given up on ever escaping the world of porn. In Jody, he sees the idealism he has lost, while Jody starts to embrace her sexuality as she gets aroused by the erotic material she once so harshly judged, finding an unlikely friendship along the way with porn star Dick Harder (Jamie Kennedy, Bowfinger, Scream). The film features real porn stars Ron Jeremy, Mr. Marcus and Stormy Daniels alongside a top-notch cast including Caroline Aaron (Crimes and Misdemeanors), Tim Bagley (Will and Grace), Donnamarie Recco and Denise Richards. An entertaining battle of the sexes played out against the backdrop of the adult film world, Finding Bliss is a film about finding love and friendship in the most unlikely of places.
