Harrison Ford's Ex-Wife of 17 Years Dies at 65

Melissa Mathison, the Oscar nominated writer behind Steven Spielberg’s ET, has passed away at the age of 65. The screen writer, and the ex-wife of Harrison Ford, died after an illness. Steven mourns the loss of his friend saying, “Melissa had a heart that shined with generosity and love and burned as bright as the heart she gave ET.” Melissa was also known for the Black Stallion and Martin Scorsese’s Kundun, The Indian in the Cupboard and The Escape Artist.
