Lion found hanged at Indonesian Zoo

Metanews: Pictures have been released after an African lion was found hanged at a zoo in Indonesia. Officials found the 18-month-old African lion named Michael suspended from the roof by steel wire in his cage. According to zoo officials, the hanging was an accident and not caused by zoo neglect. However, the zoo is notorious for its poor conditions. Dubbed the "zoo of death" by local media, a number of animals have perished in the past five years due to neglect and sub-standard living quarters.
