Rolling Stone Magazine becomes Rockstar the Murderer of the Boston Marathon

The cover of the August issue of the popular magazine Rolling Stone is dedicated to one of the alleged co-authors of the attacks in Boston (USA), Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, sparking a firestorm of criticism today on the Internet. Often reserved for pop stars and celebrities, this time the cover is occupied by the young Tsarnaev, 19, with a photo taken from one of their accounts in social networks and in which he appears with wild hair and staring to the camera. The photo accompanies an article that discusses the magazine, based on interviews with friends, teachers and neighbors Tsarnaev, "how a popular and promising student (...) became a monster." The Facebook page was filled with Rolling Stone commenting on the cover, mostly negative and critical of what they regard as a glorification by Dzhokhar magazine, who allegedly placed with his brother Tamerlan bombs exploded in the marathon Boston last April 15. In those attacks killed three people and injured more than 280. "Jeff Bauman, who lost both legs (in the attacks) should be on the cover," says one of the comments posted on the Facebook page of Rolling Stone. Another view that is "sickly nobody cares that people die, real people with lives and families" in the attacks and that the editors of the magazine "only care about selling". Another person is declared "very disappointed" with the magazine and another comment pleads not make "martyrs" to people like Tsarnaev. The article on Tsarnaev, prepared by Janet Reitman, reveals that the youth was increasingly isolated in the months before the attacks and suggested that once a high school friend that he believed the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 could be justified. Tsarnaev Dzhokhar filed last July 10 not guilty to the 30 counts of which he is accused, most of which could earn him the death penalty. The boy remains hospitalized in a state prison in Massachusetts, where he is recovering from wounds he suffered during a spectacular flight along with his brother after the attacks, and must appear before a judge again in September before the start of the trial in against.
