Arrested Z40 maximum leader of the Zetas

The Ministry of the Interior (Interior Ministry) quoted press conference at its facilities in Bucareli, at 20:45 hours on Monday. Although so far not been clarified the theme of the conference, cited last minute, it appears to be referring to the capture of the leader of Los Zetas, Miguel Angel Trevino Morales, alias "Z-40". The Department of the Navy and the government of Tamaulipas reported that the kingpin was arrested Monday morning by federal agents during a surprise operation in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. Treviño Morales took control of Los Zetas after the death of the founder of Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano, "El Lazca" on October 8, 2012, in a battle with Mexican marines in the northern state of Coahuila. The State Department of the United States had offered a reward of five million dollars for Treviño Morales. To date, the Mexican government had not provided information. Lazcano's body was stolen from a funeral home by armed men shortly after the sailors had left his body there. Los Zetas are considered one of the two main groups of drug trafficking in Mexico and one of the bloodiest organizations. The other is the cartel of Chapo. The U.S. government offered a reward of five million dollars to Mexico and a further $ 2.3 million. Confirmed the capture of "El Z-40" represent the biggest win in the efforts of Enrique Peña Nieto against the drug cartels, who took office last December.
