Robber hit by car beaten by Bystanders

Case of instant karma in Argentina when an alleged thief who had just robbed an elderly man was hit by a car as he tried to flee, before being beaten by a group of bystanders. The bungled robbery took place in the Buenos Aires suburb of Recoleta and was captured in a Metropolitan Police video posted online today, Los Andes reports. The footage shows the thief throw his elderly victim to the footpath as he steals his wallet near an intersection before he runs onto the road where his accomplice waits on a motorcycle. However, the mugger doesn't make it to the getaway vehicle, instead being hit by a passing motorist. As the thief gets up to make another getaway attempt he is set upon by a group of bystanders who pummel him with punches and kicks. After picking himself up off the ground the mugger's elderly victim joins in the melee, vying with the other vigilantes to land a hit on his attacker. The robber was then detained until police arrived and arrested him. His accomplice remains on the run.
