Google Doodle Niels Bohr October 7 2012

Google honors the physicist Niels Bohr with an Google Doodle. It ist the 127th birthday of Niels Bohr. He made foundational contributions to understanding atomic structure and quantum mechanics. Altogether he was one of the most influential scientists of the 20th century. He received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1922. He was at least 37 years old. Niels Bohr died at the age of 77. The chemical element Bohrium is named after Niels Bohr.
