Hurricane season left hundreds in Haiti dead and tens of thousands homeless, now comes the fears that floods may spread disease.

In the port city of Gonaives, health workers struggle to contain water-borne diseases, which so far have infected thousands of people in the region. SOUNDBITE: Adriene Jean, saying (Creole):
"The baby has diarrhea and can't eat because he has no appetite. I have not enough food to give, I need you to help me, my house is destroyed, I lost everything, I have nothing, I live in a shelter with my baby."
