Super Bowl 2012 commercials NMA Animation

The Vince Lombardi trophy isn't the only thing at stake when the New England Patriots face the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLVI. This year, like every year, advertisers will be vying for the hearts and smiles of the big game's equally big television audience with a slew of big-budget commercials. The ever-growing average cost of a 30-second spot during this year's Super Bowl is valued at $3.5 million, and viewers have come to demand a commensurate entertainment experience. Product-makers haven't let them down much in the past, what with talking frogs from Budweiser, a talking baby from E*trade, and of course a little old lady who couldn't seem to find the beef, courtesy of Wendy's. But which ads will America and the rest of the world be talking about the Monday after this year's Super Bowl? Viewers got a sneak peak last week when Volkswagen released an online preview ad featuring a choir of dogs barking to the tune of "The Imperial March" from Star Wars. It's the car maker's second commercial based on the epic sci-fi film series. A spot starring a pint-sized Darth Vader was a hit with viewers last year.
