In that movie, which was directed by her husband, Taylor Hackford, Mirren played Grace Botempo, the madam of a seventies Reno whorehouse. The film was based on Nevada's real Mustang Ranch. The article noted that when Mirren's husband tried to convince her to spend a night at the Mustang Ranch, she refused.
